The Elizabeth Dole Foundation is the preeminent organization empowering, supporting, and honoring our nation’s 5.5 million military caregivers; the spouses, parents, family members, and friends who care for America’s wounded, ill, or injured veterans. Founded by Senator Elizabeth Dole in 2012, the Foundation adopts a comprehensive approach in its advocacy, working with leaders in the public, private, nonprofit and faith communities to recognize military caregivers’ service and promote their well-being.

Kaiser Permanente TRICARE Prime option – now available to TRICARE beneficiaries in metro Atlanta If you are a TRICARE beneficiary in metro Atlanta and are eligible, you can choose Kaiser Permanente, a TRICARE Prime option, and receive complete TRICARE Prime health coverage with $0 annual enrollment fee for the 1st year. (After the 1st year, the annual enrollment fee will be the same as TRICARE Prime.) If you choose this option, to ensure a seamless transition, we are partnered with Humana Military and will continue to provide your administrative support.
You will receive the same plan benefits and low costs of TRICARE Prime* plus the benefits of getting your care from Kaiser Permanente providers at our facilities.
Our unique, integrated model allows us to deliver high-quality, coordinated, and personalized care—efficiently and affordably—which can lead to improved health with fewer hassles, lower costs, and added convenience.
You can enroll in the Kaiser Permanente TRICARE Prime option during TRICARE Open Season, which occurs each fall, beginning on the Monday of the second full week in November to the Monday of the second full week in December, or up to 90 days after a Qualifying Life Event (QLE). The Tillman Scholar program is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:
• Veteran and active-duty military service members from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces including the National Guard who have served in both pre-and-post-9/11 eras.
• Current Spouses of a veteran or active service members, including surviving spouses
• Spouses, veterans, and service members who apply must be a full-time* student pursuing one of the following degrees at a public or private, U.S.-based, accredited institution for the upcoming fall/spring academic year:
• An undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s or above)
• A graduate or professional degree
• You do not need to be attending a University Partnered school to apply.
• *full-time as determined by the institution and program of study to which an applicant is applying
• Child dependents are not eligible to apply
• Scholarships are awarded for the upcoming fall/spring academic year, not the current academic year. Scholarships are not retroactive for completed courses.
• Strong applicants for this military scholarship demonstrate clear academic goals, extraordinary leadership potential, and a deep desire to create positive change. They believe their best years of service to our country are still ahead of them, and they are committed to strengthening communities at home and around the world.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001.
We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

VETLANTA is a club operated exclusively for veteran social and business networking and community service purposes. Our purpose is to help veterans get connected to the resources and community they need. We network with Atlanta area businesses (including non-profits, education institutions, government agencies), to find those organizations with like-minded values who may have opportunities for veterans. To maximize our impact on current efforts, VETLANTA may become involved with local volunteer opportunities in order to facilitate camaraderie and give veterans a chance to network effectively.

You may receive Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) (Formerly known as Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment) services to help with job training, employment accommodations, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching. Other services may be provided to assist Veterans and Servicemembers in starting their own businesses or independent living services for those who are severely disabled and unable to work in traditional employment.
