We understand how much being surrounded by God’s nature and peace can affect a soldier’s perspective on family and life.

with your help, we have helped honor ## families by gifting them the space and time to reconnect.

Red, White, and Bear is a place that is so good for the soul. I loved every second there.
— Stephanie Kayhan

OpA has a cabin retreat in the North Georgia Mountains, Red, White & Bear (RWB), where we host disabled veterans. A disability may present itself in many different forms and can range from mental to physical to emotional. The greatest problem RWB is able to address is time. Time to reintegrate. Time to be still. Time to lay down the burdens of military demands. Each retreat will offer time to sit and listen to the wind in the trees, read a book, go for a walk, be still. Time to communicate with family members about what they missed while they were away, what to expect going forward and formulate an action plan. By being aware of transition stresses and reintegration shortfalls, RWB will offer a sanctuary where issues can slowly be addressed. By offering a place to lay down the burdens of deployment and family separation our ultimate goal is thank our service members for everything they have sacrificed and give them a little “something” in return.

You can honor a soldier or veterans sacrifice for their service, by joining our mission.
